Five star treatment for Blackpool B&B

Blackpool's newest five-star guest accommodation has officially opened.

Over the past six months, the Sunnyside guest house on King Edward Avenue has been transformed into Langtry's - the resort's newest boutique B&B.

Owned by Julie Sayers and David Webb, Langtry's is now a chic, six-bedroomed guest house. Work was carried out using only local contractors.

It was officially unveiled by the Mayor and Mayoress of Blackpool, Cllr Norman Hardy and Mrs Barbara Hardy.

It was revealed at the opening that the transformation of Sunnyside will feature on Channel 5's The Hotel Inspector on Monday 20 July.

Lesley Lloyd, chair of Lancashire & Blackpool Tourist Board, who joined guests at the opening, said: "Langtry's joins a growing number of four and five star accommodation providers helping change old perceptions of Blackpool by raising new standards in accommodation.

"Julie and David are to be congratulated on their impressive B&B and we wish them every success for the coming season."
