Sandcastle builds on its successes
Blackpool's Sandcastle Waterpark has won two more awards in recognition of training and customer service.
The team - led by managing director John Child - won two prizes at the annual Lancashire Excellence in Tourism Skills Awards: Excellence in Customer Service and Best Practice in Training & Career Development.
Other local winners included Joseph Pilling of Liberty's Hotel and Alabama Showbar who received the Outstanding Learner Award.
Brian Jones from the Hilton, Blackpool, was highly commended in the Commitment To The Industry category.
The awards, organised by Lancashire & Blackpool Tourist Board, were held at the Marine Hall, Fleetwood, and hosted by actor Paul Nicholas and Coronation Street actress Tupele Dorgu.
