Hands-On-Help for Create Construction
Bosses at Blackpool firm Create Construction have praised a programme which has helped them save cash and expand their horizons.
The Marton-based business is one of the only ones from the North West chosen to enroll on the Centre for Construction Innovation (CCI) project to increase productivity and reduce its carbon footprint.
It comes just months after Create was accepted on to an exclusive "high growth" programme to increase its potential.
Bosses at the firm have also managed to gain funding through the North West Development Agency Innovation scheme and have been shortlisted on a major project for a university in the region.
Paul Mathison, Create Construction's managing director, said;
"We were delighted to have been chosen as one of the first companies to attend this flagship programme.
"The construction industry has a responsibility to protect the environment and as a company, we are focused on meeting the needs of today, without compromising the needs of tomorrow.
Tim Whitehill, project manager for the Centre for Construction Innovation, added;
"Create Construction is an ideal example of the success a company can have if it adopts the processes and initiatives proposed through the Construction Knowledge Hub workshops.
"The project is funded until March 2012 and is forecast to assist 200 small and medium-sized companies.
"Through the improved procedures, CCI hopes to help create more than 300 jobs throughout the North West."
