Blackpool's conference success
Blackpool's conference facilities are among the best in the country – it's official.
The resort's meetings venues have excelled in an independent "mystery shopper" survey.
Facilities across Blackpool scored highly on dealing with online enquiries, dealing with telephone inquiries and also dealing with face-to-face questions from potential customers.
A total of 46 venues across Lancashire were tested as part of the survey, including venues across Blackpool.

Tony Openshaw, director of marketing at Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board, said;
"This survey proves we have the best customer service and skills to back up the tremendous facilities on offer for business people who come or want to come to Blackpool.
"Our venues work extremely hard to deliver high standards and can be rightly proud of their achievements, which highlight the excellent quality on offer to conference organisers and business visitors.
The survey was carried out independently but was organised by Lancashire and Blackpool Conferences and Meetings, which is a joint initiative between Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board and visitBlackpool.
It was organised as the LBCM was launching an Ambassador programme, which is recruiting leading business people and academics to promote the county as a top conference and meeting destination.
Despite losing the Labour and Conservative conferences to Manchester, Blackpool is still attracting thousands of delegates to meetings in the resort.
During 2010, there will have been at least 30 conferences held in Blackpool. And it has been estimated £5m, had been generated by events so far this year, with that increasing to an expected £20m by the end of 2010.
