Blackpool businesses line up for BIBA honours
A host of Blackpool businesses are vying for honours in this year's prestigious BIBA awards.
The Hilton Blackpool, and Sandcastle Waterpark have both been nominated for four awards, and the Danbro accounting company based on Peel Business Park has been shortlisted in two categories, including Business Of The Year.
Blackpool businesses dominate the Tourism Business Of The Year category with five nominations and Links Signs & Graphics (based on Cocker Street, Blackpool) is shortlisted as New Business Of The Year.
Estelle Livesey from the Beach House in Blackpool has the chance of both individual and team success: She is nominated in the Business Woman Of The Year category and the Beach House itself in the Tourism Business Of The Year category.
The BIBAs are the most prestigious business awards in the region and this year attracted almost 1,000 entries. The final is being staged at Pleasure Beach, Blackpool on Friday 12th March, with BlackpoolUnlimited.com as a principal sponsor of the event.

Babs Murphy, chief executive of the event organisers, North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, said: "The calibre of entries this year was exceptionally high and everyone who entered deserves admiration.

"They are shining examples of what can be achieved in sometimes the most difficult circumstances by people with a real aspiration to improve their business and contribute significantly to the local economy."
