From Blackpool to New York!

Aer Arran and Aer Lingus have formed a franchise agreement that effectively links Blackpool International Airport to New York.

Under the agreement, Aer Arran will operate 12 routes from Dublin and Cork. The Blackpool to Dublin service will operate daily with an increased capacity as the route will be served by the modern 72-seater ATR72-500 aircraft.

This daily service will provide connections to Aer Lingus services to JFK Airport in New York.

All of the franchise services will be branded as "Aer Lingus Regional".

Paul Rankin, Blackpool International's Airport Director, said: "This is fantastic for our passengers from across Lancashire and the Lake District. The new agreement will mean an increase in the number of seats available and passengers will be able to link into the Aer Lingus Dublin transatlantic network.

"Effectively, from February, customers will be able to book straight through from Blackpool International to JFK New York!"

All franchise flights including Blackpool to Dublin are on sale from today at http://www.aerlingus.com/. Flights linking on to America will be available from February.
